The Hospitals Sežana and Nabrežina (Italy) are currently
implementing the programme, within the Phare Project, called:
“Rehabilitation of patients with chronic pulmonary diseases
in two different healthcare systems”.
The programme was initiated on 1 September 2003 and will be
completed in August 2004. It involves an overview and study
of the existing state in the field of rehabilitation of
patients with chronic pulmonary diseases in Slovenia and
Italy, and an analysis of the possibilities of additional
development based on domestic and foreign healthcare systems.
The aim is to prepare a common strategy and find a common
approach to address the problems as well as to analyse
possible methods of resolving these problems.
The target objective of the project is to produce a uniform
rehabilitation strategy. In order to achieve these
objectives experts as well as patients (a group of 20
patients) were invited to participate in the programme from
both hospitals, which completed the rehabilitation programme
in April 2004.
What follows is the analysis of results and organisation of
final conference.

Saying goodbye, shaking hands and wishing all the best,
especially health, each time an individual rehabilitation
programme is completed. |
